Transcript for: Tasks of a Staff Development Coordinator

Perhaps the most important task of a Staff Development Coordinator is to identify the needs of all staff within the school.

Staff Development Coordinators use a range of methods to analyse staff development needs. For example, by giving teachers the time and opportunity
to talk about their needs and how their needs may have changed due to the introduction of changes in curriculum or pupils.

Staff Development Coordinators also have to be aware how the School Development Planning process highlights staff needs.

Needs can be identified through discussion with individuals and through meetings, whether formal ... or informal ... and through written audits and questionnaires
