Introduction to Teachers Agreement Communication (TAC)
The TAC Team is a joint initiative between the Scottish Executive, COSLA and Scottish local authorities. The team aims to:
- ensure a strategic focus remains on the overall aims of the Agreement A Teaching Profession for the 21st Century;
- ensure accurate, timely and consistent information on the Agreement is communicated and good practice and the exchange of ideas is promoted;
- identify barriers to implementation and ensure appropriate action is being taken;
- review, monitor and report progress on implementation of the Agreement.
Local Authorities and SEED established a Teachers Agreement Communication (TAC) team to identify and report on good practice emerging post McCrone as local agreements were made. Several briefing papers have been produced and can be accessed on:

Look at the Tac Team briefing papers in the left hand margin menu (on the link below). The paper on school leadership and collegiality has a bearing on appropriate and useful CPD. Also on the site, there are links to Chartered Teacher materials including the Standard and FAQs on Chartered Teacher.
