Ian Somerville, Clyde Valley
"This is the National Priorities' website. The website address is quite easy. It's nationalpriorities.org.uk and when you click onto it, this is the homepage that you get to..."

The national priorities and the new framework for continuing professional development (CPD) are an attempt to provide a coherent approach to educational development with appropriate professional assistance to teachers.

While the website is also used as a vehicle for the dissemination of school quantitative data on a national basis, a major focus of the work is the attempt to influence teacher Professional Learning and Development in a range of domains especially through exemplification of interesting practice in teaching and learning. A range of 6000 resources (including international examples) involving multimedia have been developed and gathered together on the website.

The resources are scaffolded in a variety of ways; by audience, priorities framework, learning outcome, theme, interactive papers and many are associated with professional learning activities in learning objects. All assets can customized in the 'My Priorities' section and are also available for re construction in different contexts by individual users.
